The Psychiatric LVN supports our providers and patients by delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting. This includes administering medications, assisting with psychiatric and medical assessments, and supporting specialized treatments such as Ketamine and Spravato® (esketamine) therapy. The LVN ensures patient safety, clinical accuracy, and compliance with all regulatory and documentation standards.

Description
Administer prescribed psychiatric medications and document per protocol in the EHR.
· Assist with Ketamine and Spravato® treatments, including preparation, patient monitoring, and post-treatment assessments in compliance with REMS requirements.
· Monitor patients during and after treatments to ensure safety and effective response; promptly report any adverse reactions or changes in condition to the supervising provider.
· Perform and record vital signs, patient histories, and behavioral observations.
· Support providers during psychiatric evaluations, medication management visits, and treatment sessions.
· Educate patients and families about medications, side effects, treatment protocols, and ongoing care plans.
· Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient documentation per HIPAA and Heading Health policies.
· Coordinate care with psychiatrists, therapists, and medical support staff to ensure continuity and quality of care.
· Participate in clinic quality assurance, safety checks, and compliance audits.
· Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and trauma-informed treatment environment.
Qualifications
· Education: Graduate of an accredited LVN program.
· Licensure: Current and active LVN license in the state of Texas.
· Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, or medical clinic setting required. Experience with Ketamine, and Spravato® therapy preferred.
· Certifications: Current CPR/BLS certification.
· Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment and observation skills; compassionate, patient-centered approach; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment; familiarity with psychiatric medications, controlled substances, and REMS protocol compliance.
Salary
$32 - $37 per hour
