Somethings is on a mission to end the youth mental health crisis by reducing the suicide rate for teens back to 2008 levels of 6.8 per 100,000 (1) for the 42 Million teens in the U.S.
To combat this, we are creating the first scaled network of Certified Peer Specialists and building the most engaging mental health experience in the world for teenagers. We’ve found deep resonance with Medicaid Managed Care Organizations and State Health Agencies and we’re scaling to quickly towards serving hundreds of thousands of teens.
About the Role
As a Product Designer, you will lead the creation of a fully integrated design ecosystem to power our scalable Mentor operations. You’ll collaborate with product managers, engineers, and users to design impactful solutions that are beautiful, functional, and easy to use. Your focus will be on creating a seamless onboarding experience, consolidating a versatile design system, and crafting intuitive products that align with our high standards of branding and style.
Responsibilities
- Integrated Operation Design - Design ****an integrated web/mobile system for our entire Mentor operation to effortlessly run and scale to 10k users.
- UX Research and Design for Core Mentor AI System - Create the UX and design patters for the Core AI experience for Mentors.
- A+ Onboarding Experience - Design an onboarding experience that results in 50% of users who begin their application get activated on the platform.
Requirements
- Figma Expert: Master of Figma, including variables, tokens, prototyping, and component design.
- Design System Pro: Proven experience designing and maintaining systems across multiple products.
- React Native Knowledge: Hands-on experience working with React Native, with a deep understanding of its limitations and solutions.
- Deliver Seamless Engineering Handoffs: Demonstrated ability to deliver clear, well-documented designs to engineering teams.
- Detail-Oriented: Obsessed with the small details that elevate user experiences.
- Brand Aesthetic Sensibility: Strong design eye to match our elevated and aspirational brand standards.
- Strong Communicator: Skilled in writing thorough documentation and articulating design decisions clearly.
- Systems Thinker: Ability to grasp and design for complex, multi-stakeholder operations.
- User-Centered Approach: Passionate about engaging with users to understand their needs and create impactful solutions.
- Data-Driven: Familiar with integrating data and user insights into design processes.
- High Graphic Design Sensibilities: Can create beautiful graphics for our website and marketing materials.
