We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant with experience or interest in psychiatry to join our team. If you are passionate about mental health and enjoy working in a patient-focused environment, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Assist psychiatrists and other mental health providers with patient care.
- Prepare patients for examinations, including taking vitals and updating medical histories.
- Assist with prior authorizations, referrals, and medication management.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records using AMD.
- Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and mental health resources.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, answering phones, and verifying insurance.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for psychiatric patients.
- Work on Saturdays as part of a regular schedule.
Requirements:
- Must have Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Certification.
- Prior experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, or mental health settings is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with patients experiencing mental health challenges.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in EMR systems and basic medical office procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
