Your role as a Manual QA Specialist specialist is to write scripts and create automation environments for repeated tests. Using different automation tools, you will design, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions. Your goal is to automate as much of the testing effort as possible with a minimum set of code.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Case Design & Execution: Design, develop, and execute detailed manual test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage of all application features and functionalities.
- Bug Identification & Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, and collaborate with the development team to resolve issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with both development and business teams to understand requirements, validate test results, and ensure product quality. This role requires the ability to split time effectively between these teams.
- Quality Assurance: Review and analyze system specifications to ensure that products meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to verify that new changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
- Communication: Provide clear and concise feedback on testing progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders, ensuring transparency throughout the development process.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and any issues identified to support continuous improvement in the testing process.

- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify even the smallest of issues that could impact product quality.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to understand complex software applications and identify potential problem areas.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and solve issues that arise during testing efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey test results, issues, and recommendations.
- Test Case Design: Proven experience in designing effective test cases that cover all aspects of the application.
- Time-Zone Flexibility: Must be able to support the EST time-zone and split time effectively to work closely with both the development and business teams.
- Experience: Prior experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
- Basic understanding of automated testing practices.
