Job Overview
We are looking for a Maternal Behavioral Health Care Navigator to join our growing team. As a Maternal Behavioral Health Care Navigator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients have a smooth and supportive experience as they navigate their mental health care journey. This role involves working closely with healthcare providers, behavioral health specialists, and community resources to improve maternal mental health outcomes. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills to ensure success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Care Coordination: Assist mothers in navigating healthcare services, including mental health care, prenatal and postpartum support, and wellness programs.
- Patient Advocacy: Serve as a supportive point of contact for mothers experiencing mental health challenges, ensuring they receive compassionate, timely care.
- Resource Connection: Identify and refer patients to appropriate mental health services, social support programs, and community resources.
- Education & Support: Provide information on maternal mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies to help mothers make informed decisions.
- Collaboration: Work alongside healthcare professionals, including OB/GYNs, therapists, social workers, and pediatricians, to create a comprehensive care plan for each patient.
- Follow-Up & Monitoring: Maintain regular check-ins with patients to track their progress, address concerns, and adjust care plans as needed.
- Data & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, referrals, and outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Ensure that patient information is maintained in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience in maternal health, behavioral health, or case management is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of perinatal mental health disorders, including postpartum depression and anxiety.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems, insurance, and patient advocacy.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and documentation.
- Familiarity with scheduling software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Passion for women’s mental health and a commitment to making a positive impact.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience in mental health or women’s healthcare settings.
- Knowledge of telehealth platforms and virtual care coordination.
- Understanding of insurance and billing processes related to mental health services.

Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation Range: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour, based on location, experience, qualifications, and applicable federal and state minimum wage requirements.

Interview Process
HR Screen:

Second Phase with Hiring Manager:
- Candidates who pass the HR screen will move on to an interview with the Hiring Manager. Offer Stage:

Onboarding & Training:
- Once the offer is accepted, the onboarding process begins. You will be guided through setting up tools, learning about LunaJoy’s systems and workflows, and engaging in any role-specific training. This phase ensures a smooth transition into your new role, setting you up for success from day one.
